Hello, everybody, this is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today, we're gonna take a look at this 12 1/4 inch diameter pre-greased trailer hub and drum assembly for 8,000 pound axles, has an 8 on 6 1/2 inch bolt pattern with 9/16 inch diameter wheel studs. Now, this trailer hub and drum assembly is gonna provide the surface area for brake shoes or brake magnets to grip when your electric or hydraulic brakes are activated. So it is compatible with both the electric and hydraulic drum brakes. Now, this is a pre-greased hub and drum assembly. And you could probably look, if you look in the back here, you can see where the grease is coming out.

And if we swing it around to the front, you'll be able to see the grease also. This pre-greased hub and drum assembly is very easy to install, there's no need to pack the bearings. When you see receive it, all you need to do is slide it right onto the spindle, and it's ready to go. It does use a lithium complex multipurpose grease that keeps the bearings lubricated. And this drum is a sturdy iron construction.

Now, it will include the bearing races, which are pre-installed in the hub that the bearings are gonna sit on. Does include both the outer bearing, and in the back, you can see the inner bearing. And then, also, the grease seal is included, installed in there. Now, it does not include a grease cap or lug nuts. Those you would have to supply yourself, we do sell those separately on our website.

And the studs use 9/16 inch diameter studs, so it will require 9/16 by 18 size lug nuts. Application, this is for 8,000 pound trailer axles. The drum dimension, which is measured, the inside dimension, 12 1/4 inches, four inches wide. It is designed to work with 12 1/4 inch brake assemblies. The wheel size that'll fit on this is 16 inches and larger.

We mentioned the bolt pattern is an 8 on 6 1/2 inch bolt pattern. And the weight capacity on this one hub and drum assembly is 4,000 pounds. So when it's used with one on the other side of the axle, it'll match the 8,000 pound trailer axle rating. But that's gonna do it for a look at the 12 1/4 inch diameter pre-greased trailer hub and drum assembly for 8,000 pound axles.
