Since the launch of the 4th Generation Tacoma, Tacoma have had a difficult time accepting the 2.4L Turbocharged powertrain. The 3.5L V6 powertrain was a beloved powertrain across the lineup in available Tacoma models, and I get it, the 2.4L Turbocharged 4 cyl engine in the current generation Tacoma is not proven it's longevity yet.
Although the 2.4L Turbro-charged Hybrid powertrain that produces a massive 326 hp and 465 lb ft of torque dwarfs the 3.5L V6 278 hp and 265 lb ft of torque, Tacoma lovers would love to see the V6 as an option in the new design.
