North Korean leader Kim Jong Un supervised an offensive tactical drill of new type of tanks that demonstrated superior attack and defence capabilities against drones and anti-tank missiles and showcased a modernised tank industry, state media reported on Friday (March 20).

In the video aired on North Korea's state-run television KRT, Kim was seen sitting on a tank while his daughter was inside. They also watched military drills which included drones hitting targets.

The appearance marked the latest in a series of increasingly frequent public events by Kim’s daughter Ju Ae, who is believed to be in her early teens, amid analysis by experts and South Korean officials that she is being trained to succeed him.

Earlier this month, she was also seen at a firing range aiming a sniper rifle and separately firing a handgun along with her father and military officials.
