Things are changing fast at the weekend homestead. Fall is quickly slipping away and the arrival of the long dark cold days is imminent. Luckily for me, the weather held for a couple more days and I took the opportunity to finish up a few tasks before the snow covers everything.
The tiny cabin bunkhouse got a set of stairs, the wood stove chimney brace installation was completed and the wiring is wrapped up. This completes the exterior bunker work for the season and I will now move inside to finish the knotty pine wall boards.
A few other odds and ends got finished off and I now feel like we are ready for the winter.
Oh and my saw caught on fire and I found a dead bear.!
