Farmington High School has a unique marine biology program, covering biodiversity and marine ecosystems. Students are excited for the opportunity to learn all about diverse marine life, including jellyfish, octopus, crabs, shrimp, penguins, seals, stingrays, sharks, sea turtles and more! Advanced students in their second year move on to captive aquarium husbandry and zoological job training.
The program began when the school opened five years ago and is led by marine biologist Adam Blundell, also known as Professor Blundell to his students. The program has grown to include more than 20 aquariums on display at the school.
