M Chandrasekaran (born 11 December 1937) is a distinguished Carnatic classical musician renowned as both a violinist and a vocalist. Born into a musical family as the younger son of T N Mohanan and Charubala Mohanan, herself a violinist, the family later lived in Kanpur, where Charubala arranged for him to learn Hindustani music and harmonium. After the untimely death of his father, Charubala, with remarkable resolve, moved to Madras with the singular aim of nurturing her son’s musical future. There, she initiated the seven-year-old Chandrasekaran into violin training, remaining his sole guru throughout his formative years. Though he lost his eyesight at a very young age, this did not hinder his musical growth; instead, he developed exceptional depth in rāga and laya. Renowned for his gayaki (vocal) style of violin playing, Chandrasekaran has excelled as both a soloist and an accompanist, performing with many legendary Carnatic musicians. He also presents vocal concerts and often sings during his solo violin recitals, has composed in various musical forms and languages, performs widely across the world, and frequently appears in violin duet concerts with his daughter, Smt. G. Bharathi. In recognition of his immense contribution to Carnatic music, he was awarded the prestigious Sangeetha Kalanidhi by the Madras Music Academy in 2005.
Violin: V Sanjeev
Mridangam: Ramaiah Vittal
The kṛithi urges the mind to worship Guruguha, renounce the layers of illusion, and recognize the Supreme Bliss of the Paramatman made accessible through guru-grace, knowledge, and devotion. It blends Advaitic philosophy with intense bhakthi, a hallmark of Dikṣidar’s compositions, presenting Lord Guruguha as both the cosmic principle and the compassionate refuge.

Meaning:
Oh mind worship the sacred form of Guru Guha and get rid off agony of heart caused by delusion.
Blessed with life as human being, seek the grace of the Supreme Soul avoiding worldly pleasures.
Sada Siva is full of Satvik (gentle) qualities. Lack of transcendental knowledge causes rebirth in this world. His glory is full of splendour whereas the world is filled with ignorance. He is the destroyer of demon Taraka. He is blissful Ananda Bhairava. Prostrate at the holy feet of Guru Guha. Chant the name of Guru Guha conquering fascination. Believe that he is your sole refuge.
