Vote counting is under way in a Malaysian state election that could have significant consequences for the coalition government in Kuala Lumpur.
The Sabah election is the first since Prime Minister Muhyiddin Yassin took power in a political coup in February.
The result may either strengthen his position or heap more pressure on his administration.
