Red River in Vietnam - The Film (English Version)

Описание: This short-film is set in Vietnam in 2016 (Author: N.D.Viet). The film’s shot on location in Red River; the main characters are the river and people live along Red River, it's a real story about livelihoods of people, who live in local area. In here, day by day, thousands of farmers, fishers exploit many types of resources from the river (e.g. fish, water, sand, rock, soil, etc.). For me, the best scene is when pumping station was run to get water from Red river into irrigation canals. But, I’m not going to tell you detail of this film, so you’ll have to go and see it for yourself. Enjoy it!

Here are some information about WLE - MK33:

MK33 is a project has name "Capacity Building and Professional Development of Water Governance and Regional Development Practitioners in the Red Basin".
MK33 project belongs to Research Program on Water, Land and Ecosystems (WLE) - is a research-for-development (R4D) of CGIAR (which is Research Program on poverty reduction in rural areas, food security, human health promotion and nutrition, ensuring the sustainable management of natural resources). MK33 project is expected to contribute to addressing the important challenges in the field of water resources of the Red River Basin.

Objectives of MK33 project are strengthening and developing management capacity in water governance of the Red River Basin related to the rapid changes underway of water, land and ecosystems in the basin due to impact of natural and human activities.
MK33 Project is a support program for researching, cooperation and strengthening capacity aim to improving the quality of training regarding to water governance. This project is also a bridge-link among research results of the Red River Basin and these others from sub-basins belong to Mekong River system.
