Feel great after 15 minutes of hatha yoga for the whole body! This sequence is a full body yoga flow, that is aimed at gently building strength and stretching to improve flexibility.
In this 15 mins hatha yoga for strength & flexibility we move through different postures and exercises, starting lying down on the mat. We gently breath in to the whole body, before moving into a progressive flowing Setu Bandhasana (bridge posture) and a flowing supine twist. We then rock to seated and up into Navasana (boat posture), which helps strengthen the core and legs, before folding forwards into Badhakonasana (cobbler posture). From Marjaryasana (cat posture) on all fours, we strengthen the body by engaging in alternate arm and leg lifts. Back into Balasana (child posture), with a side stretch, then thread-the-needle twist, before moving up into a lunge stretch. The high crescent lunge is a lovely 'finale' for this short sequence, strengthening the legs and bringing a bit of heat into the body. We close with another, slightly different, cobbler, and end in seated. Namaste!
