A food security program in the four communities of Island Lake, Manitoba, assists people with raising their own chickens, for both meat and eggs. This video was created during the 2nd year of chicken raising, and this time, they are building special chicken coops to protect their birds and also can be used as part greenhouse!
Wasagamack First Nation, St. Theresa Point First Nation, Garden Hill First Nation, and Red Sucker Lake First Nation are all included in the program.
