Six months later i got around to editing this video. This does not mean that nothing is being done, there is simply no time to process the video. Hooray! Having experience with the first float, many stages of preparation were completed much faster and the infusion process itself was more predictable and I managed without nerves with just one assistant. The configuration of the supply tubes and the pitch were borrowed from http://fram.nl (thanks!), but a very good solution was to divide the supply line from below into three sections, this gave additional time to correct minor defects and saved resin, which was collected in the upper trap jars. The quality of the impregnation is simply superb, the Elan-tech EC157 resin with the W152XLR hardener is simply amazing components, thanks to Italian chemists and engineers. The life time with mobility is about 4-5 hours, there is no exothermic reaction and this is at a temperature of about 28 degrees in the garage. After mixing, the resin looks like water, really like water. A couple of minutes in an ultrasonic bath remove air bubbles... Well, a lot of work has been done but a lot remains behind the scenes, this is the routine process of preparing the surface of the foam before infusion, a large amount of sandpaper, dust and patience, plus a special vibrating sanding tool "Cheburashka". All this made it possible to achieve an almost ideal surface after infusion; the putty was applied without the beacons in a minimal layer. Enjoy watching!
Special thanks to the motivating channels that give me the strength to move this complex and expensive project forward:
