A shocking wave of brazen daylight robberies has swept through some of London’s most exclusive shopping districts, with criminals making off with thousands of pounds’ worth of luxury watches, handbags and jewellery.
Organised gangs have openly targeted top brands including Rolex and Yves Saint Laurent, along with a string of high-end jewellers — all in just a matter of days.
In scenes that are fast becoming the grim new normal in London, masked thieves have smashed their way into stores with sledgehammers, driven motorbikes straight through shopfronts and even rammed SUVs into reinforced doors, grabbing what they can before vanishing into the streets.
Speaking with Reform UK London Assembly Member Alex Wilson, Talk's Alex Phillips says: "Smashing in a shop window!"
