Описание: Just thought I would share my new turtle tank setup, I adopted two turtles that needed more space and I ended up buying a 40 gallon breeder and the Tetrafauna Viquarium. Within a couple weeks, I realized that there were three big drawbacks of the Viquarium, (1) you needed about two good sized bags of river pebbles to fill up the land area which severely limits the swimming area and makes the tank really hard to clean, (2) the maximum water level was just too low and (3) the filters don't work very well. That being said, I do like the look of the Viquarium and I set out to fix these problems. Last weekend, I came up with an idea to create a platform out of plexiglass and have it sit right underneath the riverbed, flush with the walls of the tank and with the two Viquarium structures. I found these plastic grecian pillar cake toppers which I superglued to the bottom for support (there are 6 of them). I also raised the Viquarium itself by about 2.5 inches by putting concrete bricks underneath both sections. So now, I only need about a handful of rocks to cover the land portion, there is a cave area underneath the Viquarium for the turtles to hide, and there is about 300% more water for them to swim. Finally, I bought a internal filter to supplement the filters that came with the Viquarium. Anyway, I thought this might be helpful for those looking to buy the Viquarium or already own it, I didn't see anything like this in any of the other videos for the Viquarium that I watched when looking for turtle tank design ideas, hopefully this gives you some ideas of your own.
