West Bengal Bypoll Results LIVE: BJP Leads In Nandigram, Rejinagar In First Test Since Taking Power

Описание: Counting is underway in the West Bengal Assembly bypolls for Nandigram and Rejinagar, with the BJP leading in both constituencies after the second round of counting. In Nandigram, BJP candidate Hansi Rani Rath is ahead of Congress candidate Milan Pradhan. In Rejinagar, BJP candidate Sakharav Sarkar has opened up a lead of more than 15,000 votes over Congress candidate Abdullahill Kafi.

The bypolls are being closely watched as the first electoral test for the BJP government since it came to power in West Bengal in May 2026. While the results are not expected to impact the government's majority in the Assembly, they could provide important clues about the state's evolving political landscape.
