From securing the machine on arrival, building a working bench, lowering the water level, and coordinating multiple bulldozers, this recovery required careful execution and teamwork throughout.
The dragline was prevented from sliding into deeper water, recovered using a combination of D9s, a D8, and on‑board power from the rear 855 Cummins engine. An unexpected drive chain failure added another challenge once the machine was out of the water.
