Monica Groop performing "Parto, parto, ma tu ben mio" from Mozart's La clemenza di Tito (K. 621) during the final of the 1989 BBC Cardiff Singer Of The World competition.
The Finnish mezzo-soprano joined the Finnish National Opera back in 1986 and has remained a member ever since. She has sung leading roles at world-renowned theatres including the Los Angeles Opera, Palais Garnier, the Royal Opera in London as well as the Salzburg festival.
