He visited the Martyrs’ Memorial in Boragaon, Guwahati, paying homage to the martyrs of the historic Assam Movement, a six-year mass movement safeguarding Assam’s identity and a foreigner-free state. PM Modi also interacted with meritorious students aboard the cruise vessel Charaideo.

In Namrup, Dibrugarh, he performed the groundbreaking for the Ammonia-Urea Fertilizer Project of Assam Valley Fertilizer and Chemical Company Limited. The ₹10,600 crore brownfield project aims to:
