An important contribution that once again makes clear: these laws also target those who opted not just to stand by and watch as others die at sea or disappear behind bars, but chose to become actively engaged in solidarity with people on the move.
Who are the "real perpetrators" not prosecuted? For us, they are those who leave people behind at sea, who deport and push them back, who torture and harass them. These are the crimes, covered up and carried out by the authorities, which remain unpunished.
We say: The problem are not only the smugglers and facilitators but the borders and the laws that protect them at any cost.
These laws are wrong and must be removed!
They only serve to maintain racist and oppressive conditions which we no longer accept as the normality!
