Mark Barrott’s music career spans over three decades. In the 90s, he began producing ambient drum & bass as Future Loop Foundation and became the first live drum & bass act to perform a session on BBC Radio 1.

In the 2000s, he moved to Uruguay, founding the Balearic/electronica label International Feel, praised by Resident Advisor as “one of the era’s finest and most consistent catalogues,” featuring artists like DJ Harvey and José Padilla.

After relocating to Ibiza in 2012, Mark turned his focus to Balearic and downtempo music. His debut album under his own name, ‘Sketches From An Island’, earned critical acclaim, with an 8.0 rating from Pitchfork.

In the 2010s, Mark collaborated with Virgil Abloh and DJ Themba, explored side projects like Talamanca System, and produced a remix for Tears for Fears in 2018.

In 2023, Mark released ‘Jōhatsu’ on Reflections, an album inspired by traditional and modern Japanese culture.

Mark’s upcoming album, ‘Everything Changes, Nothing Ends’, releasing November 29, reflects on life, love, and loss and the story of his late wife’s short illness and passing.

This ‘Story So Far Mix’ chronologically showcases Mark’s career as a producer—from his first single in 1996 up to his upcoming album in 2024.
