This training explores why simply saying “no,” or reprimanding often doesn’t teach the skills children need—and what to do instead. Families learn how to redirect behavior toward appropriate alternatives, reinforce positive choices, and build stronger connections that motivate growth. The discussion also dives into practical tools for home and school, including preference assessments, replacement skills, and strategies for reducing escalation while increasing cooperation and independence.
