Youth Shot Over Parking Dispute at Balasore's Remuna Festival, Attacker Flees

A violent incident marred the Remuna festival in Balasore district when a youth was shot following an argument over vehicle parking. The altercation escalated suddenly, leading an unidentified miscreant to open fire. The bullet hit the youth, identified as Parmananda Das from Garbagaon area of Balasore town, on the right side of his abdomen, slightly above the waist. He sustained serious injuries and has been admitted to the district headquarters hospital for treatment. The incident occurred while Das was visiting the festival. The shooter managed to flee the scene immediately after the firing. Remuna police have launched an investigation into the matter.
