Описание: 20 years ago today, cult ITV Saturday morning show SMTV Live aired its final episdoe of SMTV Gold and overall second to last episode of SMTV a week before the final episode aired.

In September 2003, SMTV was retooled as SMTV Gold amidst the announcement of the show being axed just before its 5th anniversary. During this time Stephen Mulhern and Des Clarke were at the helm as Tess and Brian had left that same summer and Shavaughn was quietly dropped. Whilst Gold aired skits from SMTV over the last 5 years, features such as Wonkey Donkey and Eat My Goal continued.

Within a few weeks, SMTV would be replaced with MOM, Mulhern kept his job on Saturday mornings whereas Clarke would go on to present other TV and radio gigs as well as persue standup comedy.
