Megan was a vibrant, determined teenager who faced her brain tumor with incredible courage — enduring surgeries, chemotherapy, and clinical trials in search of a breakthrough. But despite receiving the best possible care at Lurie Children’s, Megan eventually ran out of options.
Last year Megan passed away after a long and courageous battle with cancer. Before she passed, Megan shared one final wish with her family: she wanted them to keep fighting and fundraising so other children have more options, more time, and more hope.
Megan’s legacy reminds us of what’s at stake: too many children still face limited treatments and heartbreaking outcomes, while promising research waits for funding.
