Most see Tanaris as just a desert but few know that it was once a lush jungle hit hard by the Sundering. Outside of the Gurubashi Empire and the troll presence, we don't know too much about it in the past.

However now with the goblins, gnomes, bandits, pirates, the Caverns of Time, dragons, qiraji and everything in between Tanaris is just a danger zone out of this world. Not only are there insane beasts and creatures walking around but the conditions are absolutely atrocious.

Tanaris is plagued by a lack of water, sandstorms, terrible weather and sand dunes that show your location at any point in the day. So what was Tanaris like the past and how did it turn from a lush jungle into a desert of mystery and danger?
