Lower Crossed Syndrome is a dysfunction inside the body where the muscles are imbalanced. When muscles on the front or the back are inhibited it makes the muscles on the other side very weak.
The psoas major is the biggest hip flexor muscle in the body, if the hip flexors are tight it will make the glutes and abs very weak. The muscles that are inhibited need to be strengthened and the muscles that are over worked need a vacation.
The most important thing is being in a neutral position in order to create enough space for the nerves so they are not being pinched. You should focus 80% on your hips/glutes and 20% on the abdomen, this will be the most impactful thing that you can do.
The majority of the population has some sort of lower crossed syndrome, where they feel tightness in the lower back and focus on stretching it out, but the efforts are wasted unless the glutes are firing.
