1. Omega Fatty Acids
Omega 3,6,9 are essential unsaturated fatty acids. Essential because our body can’t produce them and we have to rely on our diet. 3 and 9 are anti inflammatory, 6 is pro inflammatory.
Omega 3s - the FERTILITY SUPER FATS. They help with hormonal balance, oocyte quality, embryo implantation, menstrual cycle regulation and sperm health!
EPA, DHA, ALA.
EPA and DHA are rich in fish oil while ALA is the highest in flaxseeds and hemp seeds.
Studies have shown that omega 3 fatty acid supplementation improved / sustained egg quality in women beyond 35 years of age .
WHO suggests a minimum amount of combined EPA and DHA should be 250-500mg per day. If you’re someone who wants to get this in your diet - 2 servings of oily fish per week, including salmon, mackerel, sardines.

3. Vitamin D - can never talk less about this sunshine vitamin. Influences every step of follicular development and growth, endometrial lining and its receptivity to the implanting embryo and the development of embryo. This sunshine vitamin is extremely crucial for fertility and never miss checking for its deficiency before starting your TTC journey!
4. Zinc - the essentiality of this supplement is proven in recurrent miscarriages / implantation failures.
Zinc is an essential micronutrient for oocytes during division, fertilization and embryo development.
So the developing oocyte is surrounded by cluster of cells which provide nutrition and metabolic support during its growth.
Zinc helps with maintaining the integrity of this and metabolic support.
Embryo development in the blastocyst stage is also dependent on the zinc concentration in the body.
