In this short, I break down one of the most essential concepts in JavaScript: Data Types 🔍
JavaScript has two main categories of data types:
🔹 Primitive Types (7 total):
1️⃣ String – Used for textual data, like "hello" or "JavaScript"
2️⃣ Number – Represents all numbers: integers (e.g., 42) and decimals (e.g., 3.14)
3️⃣ Boolean – Logical values: true or false
4️⃣ Null – Intentional absence of any object value (null)
5️⃣ Undefined – When a variable is declared but not assigned a value
6️⃣ BigInt – For handling numbers larger than 2^53 - 1
7️⃣ Symbol – Used to create unique and immutable keys, especially in objects
🔹 Reference Type:
📦 Object – Includes arrays, functions, plain objects, and other complex structures. Unlike primitives, objects are stored and passed by reference.
💡 Whether you're a beginner or brushing up for interviews, mastering these types will help you debug, structure data, and write cleaner code. This is the foundation of everything in JavaScript!
