Reliability based design optimization (RBDO) with non-Gaussian variables

Описание: This movie demonstrates how the optimal solution is changed for different targets on the reliability. The solutions are generated with a FORM-based RBDO approach with SORM corrections for variables with non-Gaussian distributions. In this movie the variables are defined with Weibull distributions. The deterministic solution is found in the lower corner and when the target of reliability is increased the solution moves towards the inner region. In such manner a safety factor is generated automatically during the optimization process.
