How to present The Brown Stairs: The extension (Montessori Education)

Описание: Direct aim: To help the child's visual discrimination of differences in two dimension. To help develop the child's muscular coordination.
Indirect aim:
1. to prepare the child for later work in geometry through the general observation of the geometrically regular differences in the size of prisms'edges, faces, and total volumes.
2.to prepare the child for the concept of numbers, i demonstrating the unit difference in height and width between the ten successively thicker prisms.

Sometimes the hectic pace of daily life causes us to forget to pause and notice what’s happening behind the scenes.
