With only 4 teachers for 9 classes, the principal made the Class 8 students sit on the school veranda instead of in a classroom because one teacher was on leave. Upon receiving the news, the Bhapur Block Education Officer (BEO) visited the school. Upset to see the students on the veranda, the BEO immediately moved them into a classroom. Parents have filed a written complaint regarding the incident. After receiving assurance that the incident would be investigated and exemplary action would be taken against the responsible teachers, the agitated public dispersed.
