CBSE announces classes 10, 12 assessment scheme for 2021-22

Continued School closures due to pandemic has forced CBSE to come up with a new assessment scheme. CBSE decision comes after the second wave of Covid 19 Pandemic forcing cancellation of CBSE class 10 and 12 exams.

Central Board has divided 2021-22 academic year in two terms.

CBSE Scheme for Class 10 and Class 12
CBSE New Exam Pattern.

Syllabus for Class 10 and Class 12 divided into two parts.

TERM I CBSE Board Exams, Class 10 and Class 12:
50% syllabus will be covered in first term and
the exams for the same will be conducted in November December 2021 in a time span of 4 - 8 weeks
The exams will be based on Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs)
Duration of exams will be 90 minutes
Marks of Term 1 will be included in the final result

TERM II CBSE Board Exams, Class 10 and Class 12:
Exams for Term 2 will be conducted in the months of March to April 2022 ina time span of 4 - 8 weeks
Duration of the exams will be 2 hours
Term 2 exams will be based on short and long Question-Answer types
In case situation is not conducive for normal exams, 90 minute exam will be conducted based on MCQs

In case, Covid situation improves, board will conduct term 1 and term II exams at the school or exam centre.

If Covid forces closure of schools during November-December 2021
Term I exam would be conducted online from home in this event
The weightage of term I exams will be reduced and weightage of term 2 exams will be increased.

If Covid forces closure of schools during March-April 2022
Term II exams would be conducted online from home
The weightage of term I exams will be increased and weightage of term II exams will be reduced.

If Covid forces closure of schools during November-December, 2021 and Mar-Apr, 2022
Term I and Term II exams will be held online with a duration of 90 min each
Final Results will be based on Internal Assessments, Project Work and Term I and II online exams.
