The MC 9 is a compact size hydraulic drilling rig designed for a wide range of small and medium diameter drilling applications including micropiles, ground anchors, soil nails / rock bolts for slope and excavation stabilization and tunnelling applications. It is especially suited for ground engineering and underground works that use self-drilling hollow bar systems. Depending on project requirements, site access, ground conditions and depth of drill holes, their installation can be accomplished by the MC 9 using either rotary or rotary-percussive drilling techniques. The MC 9 offers plenty of power and a stable drilling platform, thanks to the powerful engine and the heavy-duty variable width undercarriage, which guarantees the MC 9 excellent stability and high manoeuvrability across uneven ground and confined or difficult access sites. A major feature of the MC 9 is the long reach design
of the boom, supporting a large variety of positions and inclinations and providing the extra reach needed for soil nailing and bolting projects carried out on steep slopes or from the top of embankments. For safer and easier operation in limited access conditions, the MC 9 is equipped with the Comacchio radio control system that enables the complete control of all rig functions.
