My buddies Steven, Lincoln and I targeted the dryline in Central Illinois on February 27 with our other storm chasing friends hoping for models to verify their forecasted significant tornado and hail threat moving into NE IL and Western Indiana.
They did not.
We ended up going north finally to the northern severe threat and caught the tail end of the supercell complex that terrorized portions of western and northern Illinois, with our cameras capturing powerflashes from a rainwrapped EF1 tornado. Fun first start to 2024!
