Описание: Lisbon tram route 24E (the E stands for Eléctrico or electric) had been closed 24 years ago as the once extensive tram network had gradually been shut down. Many cities lost trams altogether while Lisbon was far-sighted enough to keep a viable network of this efficient and environmentally-friendly form of transport running on the remaining five routes. Route 24 was first opened in 1905 and re-opened in April 2018; this full trip from Campolide to Praça Luís De Camões (where it connects with route 28) was filmed on a sunny afternoon in mid-March 2019. The route also connects with the funicular Ascensor da Glória. This "new" sixth route isn't mentioned much in the guide books so you'll probably have no problem in getting a seat!
