Having Mercy & Receiving Mercy

Описание: Faith is certainly one of the most important topics of the Bible. Hebrews 11:6 tells us that without faith, we cannot please God. We're to fight the good fight of faith. We're to walk by faith and not by sight. The just are to live by faith. We're saved by grace through faith. In James chapter one, referring to prayer, we're told to ask in faith. Faith is certainly important. But in 1 Corinthians 13:13, love is mentioned along with faith and hope, and the greatest is love. Galatians 5:6 says that faith works by love. This must be why Jesus said in Mark 11:25, when you pray, forgive if you have anything against anyone. In Ephesians 5:1-2, we're told to be followers or imitators of God as dear children, and walk in love, as Christ also has loved us. Jesus said in John 13:34, to love as He loves. In Matthew 5:7, He said that the one who shows mercy will receive mercy. And certainly, God is a merciful God! Psalms 145:8 tells us that He's full of compassion and of great mercy. The next verse says that He's good to all, and of tender mercies. And that's the way we're to be! Let this message by Tony McCanless encourage you to have mercy and to receive mercy.
