Sri Lakshmi Venkateswara Swamy Temple at Manyam konda in Mahabubnagar District is also known as Palamoor Tirupathi / Telangana Tirupathi. Mannem Konda Konda is comprised of ‘Mannem’ referring to forest and ‘Konda’ meaning hill.
The temples and the monuments in Telangana speak about the cultural heritage of the land. One such famous and great temple in the district of Mehaboobnagar is the Manyamkonda Venkateswara Swamy Temple of Manyamkonda village. The presiding idol here is that of Lord Venkateshwara as a “Swayambhumurthi” i.e. self manifested Lord. The temple is located on the Manikonda Hill in the green forests making the visit to the temple truly a blissful one. The temple is some 2 kms from the proper village. The shrine at a height of 915 m gives it a majestic look making the 500 year old temple an attractive tourist spot. It is said that many renowned ancient sages had meditated here and sought moksha. Gurus like Narasimha Yogi, Ettepu Ramayogi, Kasirayalu, Veerappaiah, and Yanumaddhasu had meditated here. So this was called the Munulakonda and later Manyam Konda by the people.
Beauty of the Manyamkonda Venkateswara temple visualized by the devotees:
Devotees here feel positive energy and get refreshed as they believe that the Lord had manifested himself against the back wall of the temple. Also the meditation of so many saints in the place has filled the place with positive energy.
Perfect Time to visit the Temple:
The annual festival, Jathara is celebrated in February- March every year on the day of ‘Maha Purnima’. This is the ideal time for visiting the place which is also known as ‘Palamoor Tirupathi’.
