Together we walk through Hebrews 12 and hear the Spirit’s clear call:
You cannot run well if you are carrying what you were never meant to hold.
You cannot endure if you are distracted.
You cannot stand your post if you are entangled.
Drop the weight.

Hebrews 12 begins with “therefore,” connecting us directly to Hebrews 11. After watching Abel, Noah, Abraham, Moses, Rahab, and countless others stand faithfully under pressure, the mirror turns toward us. Now it is our turn to run.

But endurance is not just about strength. It is about shedding.
In this message, we cover three movements that sustain endurance:

• See the saints — Their witness steadies your walk
• Shed the weight — Not everything that slows you is sin, but it can sabotage your endurance
• Set your sights — Focus fuels faithfulness
We examine how Jesus avoided entanglement:
• He refused shortcuts to power in Matthew 4
• He rejected political traps in Matthew 22
• He walked away from premature popularity in John 6
• He endured rejection without retaliation
• He stayed focused on the cross despite the shame

Temptation often offers good things in the wrong way.
Sin is satisfying a legitimate desire in an illegitimate way.
Entanglement happens when opportunity pulls you off your post.

Hebrews 12 reminds us that endurance requires intentional detangling. This is not gradual trimming. It is decisive removal. It is fixing our eyes on Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith.

The cloud of witnesses encourages us.
But our focus is the cross.
Becoming is not just about starting strong.
It is about finishing faithful.
If you feel tired, heavy, or distracted, the message is simple:

Drop the weight and run.
