People were told Brexit would make Britain richer. That’s why many people voted for it
But appears to have happened is that it actually made trade harder - and growth weaker.
A decade on, the contrast is stark:
£14bn is the value if the new free trade deals weve been able to sign versus £180bn which is the latest annual estimate of the annual damage Brexit has cost the economy.
You can argue about politics.
You can’t argue with arithmetic.
So: what should Britain do now?
