Are you stuck in quarantine and can’t stop snacking?
Doubletree hotel has finally revealed its famous chocolate chip cookie recipe so we can make them at home!
Here’s the recipe 😚


— Ingredients —

🍪 Makes 26 cookies
½ pound butter, softened (2 sticks) 226g
¾ cup + 1 tablespoon granulated sugar 162g
¾ cup packed light brown sugar 150g
2 large eggs
1 ¼ teaspoons vanilla extract
¼ teaspoon freshly squeezed lemon juice
2 ¼ cups flour 294g
½ cup rolled oats 50g
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon salt
Pinch cinnamon
2 ⅔ cups semi-sweet chocolate chips 465g
1 ¾ cups chopped walnuts 175g


🍪 Makes 13 cookies (half recipe)
butter 113g
granulated sugar 81g, light brown sugar 75g
1 large egg
¾ tsp vanilla extract 3g
freshly squeezed lemon juice 1g
all purpose flour 147g
rolled oats 25g
baking soda 2.5g (½ tsp)
salt 3g (½ tsp)
Pinch cinnamon
semi-sweet chocolate chips 233g
chopped walnuts 88g


— Instructions —

1. Preheat oven to 150°C (300°F). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper
2. Cream together butter and sugars until combined
3. Beat in eggs, vanilla and lemon juice until light and fluffy, scraping down bowl
4. Mix in the dry ingredients until combined. Be careful not to overmix
5. Fold in chocolate chips and walnuts
6. Scoop the dough (about 3 tablespoons) onto parchment paper-lined baking sheet about 2 inches(5cm) apart
7. Bake in preheated oven for 18 to 23 minutes, or until edges are golden brown and center is still soft

Cook’s note: You can freeze the unbaked cookies, and there’s no need to thaw. Preheat oven to 300°F and place frozen cookies on parchment paper-lined baking sheet about 2 inches apart. Bake until edges are golden brown and center is still soft.
