Now we turn to our Michelle Park at the weather center for the latest updates. Michelle, it's the New year, and I hear the freezing weather is lined up for us.

That's right Daniel, cold air is coming into the country,... and currently, cold wave advisories are in effect in Gangwon-do and northern Chungcheongbuk-do and Gyeongsangbuk-do provinces. But this will expand more into the inlands by 10 PM tonight, bringing us a brisk morning.

With the cold dry wind blowing like today, we should all be extra careful with any possible sources of fire. Especially on the east coast of Gangwon-do, which is issued with dry weather warning.

Looking more in detail,... Seoul will start the morning at minus 7 degrees Celsius, while Daegu and Busan begin at minus 4 and zero degrees.

The skies will remain clear,... with Seoul rising up to zero degrees while Gwangju and Busan hit 4 and 7 degrees.

This week will be free of any precipitation except for Jeju Island and the southern region. Freezing mornings will continue through the week, so make sure to bundle up through the week.
