Thiruvananthapuram is set to become a metro city. Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan recently approved the alignment for the first phase of the Thiruvananthapuram Metro Rail project. The project will be implemented through Kochi Metro Rail Limited (KMRL). The Detailed Project Report (DPR) will be prepared within one and a half months, and the construction will follow the model of the Kochi Metro.
