University of Michigan Taubman College assistant professor of architecture, Mireille Roddier, discusses Richard Sennett's book on The Culture of the New Capitalism, and the thoughts of how workers act as individuals and how this relates to evolutionary models. Survival models for both types of groups are discussed, how this relates to architects, designers and working systems. YouTube's user experience manager, Margaret Gould Stewart, defends the need for both models to exist, but advocates for increased support of one over the other.
