earth and satellite.If a satellite is near to the earths surface it will need higher velocity to stay in the orbit but if the satellite is far from the surface of the earth than their speed will be much slower. The geostationary satellite are satellite that look's stationary object in the sky or space they revolve around the earth in such a way that they are not changing thier position with respect to Earth and thats why they are called stationary orbit satellite.
