Charlie works in the mainstream mental health service in Ireland and is employed as a Social Worker, but is also a qualified Psychotherapist. Charlie has been asked to bring knowledge of the science of near death experiences into the mainstream mental health service, in order to educate Psychiatrists and other Mental Health Professionals as to the fact that near death experiences are not mental illness. This will help to prevent misdiagnosis and will open opportunities for people to live life more authentically without fear of being stigmatized, being labelled, or misjudged.
