I figured I'd post this since it's still a hard fight, especially without allies. There's still a good amount of rng that goes into this, and I feel like not having Rondo or Molu makes this harder.
Anyway, here are some key points
Team Comp/Loadout
• Tressa had Serenoa's A4 and a speed fortune lance with some speed gear to swap in and tank the Volatile Toxic Stave on turns 3 and 4. By swapping in on turn 3, that accounts for it being used on either turn (Eliza is slower than the village chief, so the village chief will act on turn 3 after Tressa swaps in, and on turn 4 before Eliza swaps in).
• As you can see in this run, there is the possibility that the village chief uses speed stave twice as her first two actions, which makes her faster than Tressa. Then I have to use Swift Trifold Thrust to get her into the front row fast enough, and if she uses speed stave twice like in this run, I won't have provoke up from Serenoa's A4. Somehow she still hit Tressa anyway, so that was just pure luck. All that's needed to fix this is to add some extra speed souls, idk why I didn't do that. That way, you can always use take command switching in and not worry about the provoke running out.
• So now that I'm looking back at this, I realize that with this strategy I really could've put anyone behind Eliza to take the Volatile Toxic Stave, since I didn't use her for the rest of the fight. Maybe another light user like Agnès for a bit of extra damage, or a scholar to shield shave idk.
• I don't have Lynette or Soleil's ult. lvl. 10s, both of which would help immensely (I got my second Lynette before ults were even out, and I just forgot about Soleil's ult).
-RNG/Overall Fight
• Like I said, Volatile Toxic Stave on either turns 3 or 4 can be accounted for with the extra speed I from the souls, but there is a chance that she uses it one more time before break. Just have to hope that doesn't happen.
• The village chief will use Prepare for Execution at the end of the turn that she does her 5th action (end of turn 5 in this case), which will set up shield guard. Her 6th action will be Volatile Stave, after which she can act 3 times per turn. Breaking on turn five avoids both of these until after the break. Also, she doesn't use Prepare for Execution immediately out of break.
• There is a bit more RNG once the village chief gets 3 actions, but we just have to survive 2 of those actions to win. If we had Lynette + Soleil ult. lvl. 10s, I think I could just heal with Soleil, guarantee survival, and everyone else would still do enough damage to win. Just one instance where their ult. levels make a difference in this fight.
