Cincinnati Bengals Head Athletic Trainer Matt Summers and his staff explain and demonstrate protocols and methods for immobilizing injured football players (T-704) and Hyperthermia (M-413). Paramedic Mike Bilkasley, a member of the Cincinnati Academy of Medicine EMS protocol committee provides the introduction. Paramedics and departments who have football (American) facilities in their territory or may respond to them are encourage to watch this video.
Athletic training staffs covering football (or other hot weather sports) are also encouraged to watch this video. Paramedics and training staff are encouraged to meet to go over equipment used and what each will do for injury responses.
