App-integrated stereos are becoming more and more popular with drivers wanting to bring the latest tech to their vehicles.

They allow you to seamlessly use the apps and functions of your Apple or Android phone on your car stereo screen.

You can use your maps, send and receive messages and calls, and listen to music - all in a way that complies with UK driving laws. 

Apple CarPlay and Android Auto both offer very similar things.. and the one you’ll use depends on your phone.

With these systems, your in-car stereo will work just like an extension of your phone.

Using these apps through your stereo is much better than just using Bluetooth as you’re able to use all of the app’s features… whereas Bluetooth only allows you to skip, pause, play and rewind.

The screen is larger than your mobile or sat nav.. voice instructions come clearly through your speakers and it’s simpler to move around the map.

With Apple Maps, Google Maps and Waze you can use Siri or Google Assistant to change your route as you go. 

Most app-integrated stereos are DAB enabled, opening up a huge range of radio stations with excellent sound quality.

If not DAB enabled, they all support DAB streaming through digital radio apps such as RadioPlayer or TuneIn Radio, giving you access to all the music and radio stations you need.
