This presentation will give us an update as to what has been achieved so far, and the programme/challenges that remain ahead. It will give an insight into how the NEC contract has helped the project deliver to date and the hopes/vision for the future.

About NEC People Conference

NEC People Conference has evolved from the highly successful NEC People LinkedIn group.

Over the years, numerous people have told us that they see this LinkedIn group as a perfect demonstration of the “power of social media”. We have grown to a group of over 12,000 active users that has enabled us to create a unique network of industry professionals and establish this “must attend event of the year” for those using NEC contracts. We wanted to establish a conference event specifically for experienced people from the industry to attend and learn something from, and we trust, like others before you, that this will be your experience today.

Our LinkedIn group has grown in size along with its quality of discussions. This past year we have seen an increasing number of stimulating discussions within the group. Our annual “NEC Advent calendar” continues to be popular (believe it or not) and promotes some very in-depth debates each December. Remember though, NEC is not just for Christmas!

Throughout the year, there continues to be questions asked, subjects debated, practical advice given, and valuable answers to the queries raised. The group remains the best example we have seen of quality discussions which is self-managed and “policed” by all the users and experts within it, to make it a very pro-active and constructive environment.
