November is Native American Heritage Month and “Black News Tonight” will talk to Native American artists and leaders about the experiences of Indigenous people, past and present.
Mumu Fresh is an Afro Indigenous singer, emcee and songwriter who Black Thought of “The Roots” has called “a quadruple threat.” The Grammy-nominated powerhouse has used her platform to uplift both Black and Native American lives.
For instance, she performed on BET in the memory of Sandra Bland at the “Black Girls Rock!” Awards and joined Indigenous water protectors at the Standing Rock protests in North Dakota.
Mumu Fresh joins Marc Lamont Hill on “Black News Tonight” to discuss her art and activism.
