Talking about death and loss is still a taboo in many homes. When a farewell happens, children and young people may express a wide range of emotions, and adults don’t always know how to approach these conversations.
In the 5th episode of the “Family Life” series, we will reflect on how to address death and loss with children and young people in the light of Spiritist teachings, offering pathways for dialogue and emotional support.
Beyond explanations, it is essential to listen, observe, and recognize the emotional dimension of each experience of loss. We will discuss strategies to provide emotional support to children, present the Spiritist view on the continuity of life, and transform difficult moments into opportunities for spiritual learning and family strengthening.
